Lifeguard Training & Recertification

Spring 2026

Phantom Lake Club is offering Spring 2026 Lifeguard Certification and Recertification classes. Whether you’re becoming a lifeguard for the first time or renewing your certification, this is a great opportunity to gain valuable skills and explore potential summer job opportunities at PLC.

New Lifeguard Certification

This course provides full lifeguard certification, including water safety, rescue skills, CPR, first aid, and emergency response training.

Schedule:

  • Friday, March 27: 5:00–8:00 PM

  • Saturday & Sunday, March 28–29: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Cost:  $300

Lifeguard Recertification

For lifeguards with a current or recently expired certification who need to renew.

Dates (choose one): April 11 or April 12 from  8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Cost: $150

Requirements

All participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Age 15+ by the end of the course

  • Pass a swim skills test, including:

    • 150-yard continuous swim

    • 2-minute tread

    • 10-lb brick retrieval

  • Pass written and practical exams


Summer Job Opportunities

Participants completing certification are encouraged to explore paid summer lifeguard positions at Phantom Lake Club. Certification does not guarantee employment, but qualified candidates will be considered for  2026 summer roles.
